CVBC & Vincent van Gogh

July 24, 2016

We've had quite an art filled summer so far!  I started out the summer hosting a painting class for the Central Virginia Burn Camp at Camp Holiday Trails in Charlottesville.  There were about 40 AMAZING people ranging from 5 to 55!  Artists learned the basics of how to paint Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night painting. Each painting turned out so beautiful and so unique.  Some were even inspired by the dark storm that approached the camp during the art lesson that evening.  I was truly honored to have been part of the activities of the week long camp stay where firefighters and occupational therapists donate their time, love and attention to these amazing kids!  I hope to be part of the fun next year!

PS-I didn't know how much paint to buy for my first large group painting activity-so I had way more than enough, but know we have extra for next year!  All my supplies were purchased through Dick Blick!
